Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 1,400 reports from users at one time insisting the app is not working properly. Downdetector appears to have corroborated such claims – the site has declared 63 percent of WhatsApp issues have been related to receiving messages. Additionally, 33 percent of problems were said to have stemmed from connection issues with the service.
